Introduction The project was developed at the Corprodep Sports Corporation in the 2005 category, where 2 resistance training methods (continuous and interval) were implemented. Methodology, the project was developed at the Corprodep Sports Corporation in the 2005 category, 2 methods of resistance training were implemented (continuous and interval)the measurement of the variable (Vo2max) maximum oxygen consumption with the resistance test (Yoyo Test) was selected as an evaluation indicator from the implementation of a resistance training plan for each method, with a duration of 8 weeks, evaluating 2 moments the pre and post intervention, taking place in footballers under 14. Results the athletes selected in the continuous method in the pre test presented a Vo2max of 40.14 (ml/kg/min) and in the post-test 40.37 (ml/kg/min). In terms of physical capacity, an increase of 0.23 (ml/kg/min) is evident. In the interval method in the pre test they presented a Vo2max of 38.08 (ml/kg/min) and in the post-test 40.37 (ml/kg/min). There is an increase in the Vo2max in relation to the continuous method, in the post-test moment, showing an increase of 2.29 (ml/kg/min) in the aerobic capacity of the player. Conclusion the maximum consumption of oxygen, does not generate any significant statistical modification in the methods (continuous and interval), however the improvement is reported in absolute value, in terms of power and physical capacity of the player
