The development of the explosive force is essential to make quick movements in football. The objective of this investigation was: To determine the effects of an explosive force training program on 14 and 15-year-old female soccer players of the Gol Star sports club in Bogotá D.C.
Methodology: An experimental design is used, an explosive force training program is implemented to a group of eight randomly selected soccer players according to established inclusion and exclusion criteria. There was a control group that performed the same technical training, which allowed comparing the results obtained in the tests performed before the intervention and after the training.
Results: In the vertical jump test, the difference between the initial and final average mark of the experimental group was 0.04 cm and control group 0.01 cm. Therefore, the result of the experimental group is superior. Regarding the 10x5 m test, the experimental group had a final average of 0.63 m / s and the control group 0.08 m / s. These results demonstrate that there are significant differences between the control group and the experimental group.
Conclusions: The obtained results allow to affirm that the works applied during five weeks of training to improve the explosive force capacity in the investigated players were sufficient to obtain positive results. These results are in line with the conclusions of previous studies, which report improvements in speed and jump capacity.
