This work corresponds to a study that realized with a population of horse’s highway
from Bogota, which did not enter the program to replace animal-drawn vehicles that developing the District Department of Transportation. The twenty-four horses were
given in custody to the Veterinary Clinic University UDCA where the evaluation of
laboratory results was made score into account data from the medical records of
each individual such as date of admission, age, sex, body condition, clinical signs,
presumptive diagnosis, and some results of the blood count, white blood cell count,
blood chemistry and stool. Many of these animals had a low body condition and
parasitic and nutritional anemia indicating that it is important to make an
assessment of the health status of these animals who performed work that demand
a large expenditure of energy regardless basics as it is a health plan, good nutrition
and rest needed to recover from each workday
