Identificación de los factores de la automedicación en trabajadores de un laboratorio farmacéutico durante el 2020-2021

Abstract

Estudio observacional descriptivo de tipo transversal, que tiene como finalidad caracterizar el uso de automedicación y su práctica durante la pandemia por Covid-19 en trabajadores de un laboratorio farmacéutico divido entre área administrativa y operativa de la ciudad de Bogotá, para ello se realizó una encuesta y se llevó al contexto de los años 2020-2021 donde la pandemia contaba con sus periodos más largos de cuarentena estricta.

El alcance de los datos obtenidos en la encuesta permitió evaluar el comportamiento de las áreas frente al uso de automedicación durante la pandemia, posteriormente se realizó un análisis bivariado para poder identificar la asociación existente entre las variables del estudio y por último se creó un modelo predictivo que permitiera identificar la probabilidad de automedicación.

En el presente análisis se puede identificar que el área administrativa tuvo una mayor participación el sexo femenino, con edades predominantes de 25 a 40 años y estrato socioeconómico tres y cuatro, con nivel de estudio tecnólogo o profesional universitario cabe mencionar que esta área tuvo una participación del 78.33% que han utilizado o consumido medicamentos sin formula médica, y que cuentan con algunos conocimientos para usarlos en comparación con el área operativa que tuvo una participación del 85.11%, predominando el sexo femenino, con edades de 20 a 30 años y estrato socioeconómico 2, esta área cuenta con estudios bachiller y técnico.

Para predecir la automedicación en la población del laboratorio farmacéutico se utilizó un modelo de predicción asociado al número 248 con un AUC de 0,8384 y un AIC de 201,36, de las cuales se obtuvieron 5 variables que me responden al modelo elegido.

Descriptive observational cross-sectional study, which aims to characterize the use of self-medication and its practice during the Covid-19 pandemic in workers of a pharmaceutical laboratory divided between the administrative and operational area of the city of Bogotá, to do this, a survey was carried out and it was taken into the context of the years 2020-2021 where the pandemic had its longest periods of strict quarantine.

The scope of the data obtained in the survey allowed to evaluate the behavior of the areas against the use of self-medication during the pandemic, Subsequently, a bivariate analysis was performed to identify the association between the variables of the study and finally a predictive model was created to identify the probability of self-medication.

In the present analysis it can be identified that the administrative area had a greater participation of the female sex, with predominant ages of 25 to 40 years and socioeconomic stratum three and four, with level of study technologist or university professional it is worth mentioning that this area had a participation of 78.33% who have used or consumed drugs without medical formula, and that they have some knowledge to use them compared to the operational area that had a participation of 85.11%, predominating the female sex, with ages of 20 to 30 years and socioeconomic stratum 2, this area has bachelor and technical studies.

To predict self-medication in the pharmaceutical laboratory population, we used a prediction model associated with number 248 with an AUC of 0.8384 and an AIC of 201.36, of which we obtained 5 variables that respond to the chosen model.
