The transformation of the landscape was studied, the values of soil organic carbon
present different mulches were analyzed and priority conservation areas Protected Forest Reserve "Eastern Forest" of Bogota were selected. For the analysis of the transformation Of the landscape between 2007 and 2014 satellite images and PatchAnalyst package (ArcGIS extension) were used. For the analysis of current organic carbon storage in the soil 11coberturas plant, where a composite sample (5 subsamples) to 10 cm soil depth took they were selected. The contents were obtained by the method Phosphoric acid concentrate in the soil laboratory of UDCA. The priority conservation areas were selected taking into account the patterns of change and the contents of organic carbon in the soil. The coverage was dropped over forest plantation (F), followed by shrub grassland (Pa) .The soil COS values ranged from 2.3 to 73 Mg ha-1 in the north and 2.3 Mg ha-1 to 40.9 Mg ha-1. A total of six priority conservation areas, located north and south of the Reserve because these areas had low organic carbon storage function of their coverage and earrings, as well as proximity to an area of threat is identified
