The review of the information presented in research on production, degradation and contribution of leaf litter nutrients in SAF's in Colombia is carried out, having as a search time limit between 2000 and 2018 in 50 publications where the information analysis is done; Within the 10 different types of SAFs identified, Coffee is the species with the highest number of publications during this search. This review allowed to establish that in Colombia the litter production of tree species and / or shrubs associated with the SAFs have greater contribution of organic matter, return capacity and accumulation of nutrients in the degradation by decomposing organisms in the soil, improving conditions structural, nutritional and productive capacity; contributing some of these species to partial or total replacement of commercial feed in the animal diet, decreasing production costs, strengthening the nutritional value of the diet.
