Reporte de caso: neoplasia linfopoyética por leucemia viral felina

Abstract

Se reporta caso clínico de paciente felino doméstico positivo a leucemia viral felina que llegó a instalaciones de la clínica veterinaria Novavet, ubicada en Cajicá Cundinamarca, al exámene clínico general el paciente presenta baja condición corporal, aparente anemia, aparente deshidratación, nódulo linfático poplíteo izquierdo aumentado de tamaño, frecuencia cardiaca, respiratoria y temperatura en rangos, presenta marcha cruzada y a la palpación abdominal se siente una estructura que se asocia a materia fecal. Se instaura medicación y el paciente queda bajo observación médica posterior a exámenes de sangre y de imagen en el que se evidencian distintas estructuras en la parte abdominal del paciente, durante la hospitalización el paciente no presenta mejoría a lo que se decide realizar eutanasia humanitaria, se realiza necropsia encontrando anormalidades morfológicas en la región abdominal en órganos como riñones, hígado, páncreas, intestino delgado y ciego; se envían muestras a histopatología en el que se hallan cambios anormales en la estructura de las células arrojando diagnóstico de neoplasia linfopoyética

A clinical case of a domestic feline patient positive for feline viral leukemia is reported. He arrived at the facilities of the Novavet veterinary clinic, located in Cajicá, Cundinamarca. During general clinical examinations, the patient presents low body condition, apparent anemia, apparent dehydration, left popliteal lymph node of size a heart rate, respiratory rate and temperature in ranges, he presents crossed gait and abdominal palpation shows a structure that is associated with fecal matter. Medication is established and the patient remains under medical observation after blood and imaging tests in which different structures are evident in the abdominal part of the patient, during hospitalization the patient does not show improvement, so it is decided to perform humanitarian euthanasia, performs necropsy finding morphological abnormalities in the abdominal region in organs such as kidneys, liver, pancreas, small intestine and cecum; samples are sent to histopathology in which abnormal changes in the structure of the cells are found, giving a diagnosis of lymphopoietic neoplasia
