Apreciación que tienen los profesionales de enfermería sobre el liderazgo de la profesión

Abstract

El interés en la comprensión sobre cómo se da el liderazgo en enfermería se ha convertido en un aspecto fundamental para fortalecer la visibilización de la enfermería en el mundo como lo señala el estudio del triple impacto en Enfermería fundamento de la estrategia “nursing now”, esto debido a que la importancia del trabajo de la Enfermería sigue subsumido a la medicina, pues a pesar de que el mundo reconoce su aporte a la salud de la sociedad, este reconocimiento no se traduce en aspectos financieros y reconocimiento pos gradual. Objetivo: Indagar sobre la apreciación que tienen los profesionales de enfermería sobre el liderazgo de la profesión. Metodología: Estudio de tipo descriptivo con enfoque cualitativo. Que se realizó a partir de un instrumento tipo encuesta con pregunta abierta aplicado de manera virtual a través de google forms donde se exploró lo relacionado con el concepto de liderazgo de enfermería, normatividad relacionada con el liderazgo, características y acciones de liderazgo profesional, formación relacionada con liderazgo, y profesionales líderes, aplicado a 30 treinta Profesionales de Enfermería que voluntariamente quisieron participar en el estudio previo consentimiento informado. Esta investigación se realizó teniendo en cuenta todas las consideraciones éticas para la investigación en salud. Resultados y conclusiones. El estudio permitió establecer que la mayoría de participantes consideran que las manifestaciones de liderazgo en enfermería son la organización y delegación de actividades al personal, cuidado y manejo integral del paciente, el seguimiento y verificación del cumplimento de actividades por parte del personal de salud y la coordinación trabajo en grupo.

Objective: To inquire about the appreciation that nursing professionals have about the leadership of the profession. Methodology: Descriptive study with a qualitative approach. Which was carried out from a survey-type instrument with an open question applied in a virtual way through google forms where it was explored what was related to the concept of nursing leadership, normativity related to leadership, characteristics and actions of professional leadership, training related to leadership, and leading professionals, applied to 30 thirty Nursing Professionals who voluntarily wanted to participate in the study with prior informed consent. This research was conducted taking into account all ethical considerations for health research. Results and conclusions. The study established that the majority of participants consider that the manifestations of leadership in nursing are the organization and delegation of activities to the staff, comprehensive care and management of the patient, the monitoring and verification of the fulfillment of activities by the health personnel and the health coordination group work. 87% know the nursing laws and very few know or differentiate the organizations and associations that represent nursing in Colombia at the national level. Finally, the participants point out that the great difficulty for leadership and empowerment is the lack of visibility, recognition of the profession in the country, the heavy workload and little free time.
