In education we find apathetic children towards learning in all areas, they express that they do not see the link of knowledge with their daily life. The teaching of the natural sciences, against its easy connection with the concrete, has the same condition and strategies must be achieved so that he can see the practical application of knowledge in its context. The Garden Based Learning (GBL) has shown effectiveness by improving knowledge and attitude towards learning and the appropriation of their environment. This study proposes to observe the application of a teaching-learning sequence based on GBL that integrates theory and practice, in a public institution of Bogotá in 6th grade students in which there is no adequate space to develop the activity, so it was designed a model of urban agriculture adapted to its conditions very similar to the type of student housing looking for pretending that he discovers the application of knowledge about science in his daily life. The objective of the study is to obtain quantitative and qualitative information about the significant learning generated among students from the appropriation of concepts and the application of these in practical matters of their life.
