Generación de réplicas anatómicas del sistema ventricular encefálico humano mediante técnica de inyección corrosión

The anatomical study of the human brain ventricular system has been developed through theoretical components and illustrative premises. The difficult access to the wells and the limited availability of brain parts in medical schools, make the a priori contact with its anatomic architecture and three-dimensional structure, deficient in courses of first and second year of human medicine. The anatomical cavities are replicated from molds made with polyester resin which is implemented as a technique for study of complex anatomical structures such as the ventricular system, since its anatomical description presents difficulties in the comprehension of neuroscience; therefore currently the use of neutral resins as polymer for anatomical replicas has been implemented. They exhibiting a number of special characteristics such as pliability, conservation of structure, durability, low cost, low toxicity and the holder so, when subjected to low pressures. In this study brain replicas were generated from molds, provided by corrosion and injection, supplemented with plaster casts supported on polyester resin. The cavities of the brain ventricular system were obtained in three dimensions, keeping the initial anatomical contours of the replica of the ventricular system as a final result. The pieces were of good quality, being a useful as an appropriate tool for understanding the neuroanatomy, avoiding brain damage during handling, optimizing learning environments and improving the availability of anatomical parts in medical schools.
