A clostridial myonecrosis case in a Colombian creole foal of seven months of age is described. She was attended by the staff of the Clinic of large animals U.D.C.A because she presented colic sympthoms. After clinical examination, which evidenced depressive attitude, tachycardia, tachypnea, erratic intestinal motility and Tº: 38,8ºC, was instituted farmacological treatment, then she remained under medical observation. During hospitalization, she presented depressed attitude and evidence of lameness 5//5 in the left forelimb, medical therapy was administered and continued under clinical observation. At midnight the patient was found without vital signs. After this, necropsy was realized and was observed abnormal morphological findings in the left neck region muscles. Then, were taken samples for histopathological analysis, which found some histological changes in the tissue sample and bacterial colonies compatible to Clostridium spp. This case report is intended to analize the development and evolution of this pathology in a foal who entered into the clinic with different clinical reasons.
