Ein erneuter Besuch in der internationalen Pakarana-Forschungsstation

The International Pacarana Research Center of the Universidad de Ciencias Aplicadas y Ambientales in Bogotá, Colombia, has built three enclosures to breed the endangered Pacarana (Dinomys branickii) with the help of the Zoological Society for the Conservation of Species and Populations (ZGAP). The centre undertakes scientific investigations about this species and aims to reintroduce pacaranas in later conservation activities. Due to the success of the project it has been branded by the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA).
