This article aims to conduct a review of the literature related to governance in Spanish-speaking countries, with emphasis on Colombia and its capital, Bogotá. It seeks to look at the current panorama of the term and the sociocultural impact that has generated the administrative and political strategies related to sport. The methodology used is the selection and search of articles, finding specific research produced on the subject, so it addresses a selection of 50 articles related to web documentation centers and databases, divided into four sub-themes: policies and international governance, policies and national governance, district policies and governance, and social impact. The result is to identify the need to move from traditional models to others that converge to different society actors and generate significant changes in them. It also determines flaws present in the implementation of new governance plans from different institutions. Taking into account the bibliographic review, 19,443 articles were found, and 50 were used as functional articles: Scopus (10); Proquets (16); Google Académico (14); Sport Discus (6); Science Direct (3); Scielo (1)
