Introduction: It was determined as a general objective to develop a training program focused on optimizing strength levels in women aged between 50 and 78 years characterizing their level of risk in relation to the practice of physical exercise. Methodology: The present investigation is of experimental type, with quantitative approach, the independent variables of age, gender and body mass index were analyzed, in dependent variables were analyzed strength in lower train and force in superior train, the statistical analysis was carried out by means of t-student test paired test, comparison of hypothesis, alternates and null, which determines if the hypothesis is consistent with the data of the sample. Participants: Women from the Candelaria locality of Bogotá with age ranges between 50 and 78 years. Results: In the comparison of the averages before and after the training plan, a pre value of 27.12 and a pos value of 26.97 were determined for the BMI, in the lower train force a pre value of 10.28 was determined. repetitions and a pos value of 20.28 repetitions, in upper train strength a pre value of 17.57 and a pos value of 26.78 was determined. Conclusions: after a training period of 4 weeks by means of elastic bands and self-loads, strength in arm and legs is improved.
