Introduction: The characterization together with the physical, physiological and anthropometric evaluation in sports, allows, among other things, to obtain information on the profile or model of the functional response that characterizes a physical or sports activity; in other words, information on the participation of different physical capacities and energy routes in this sporting task. Understanding the physiological, physical and anthropometric characteristics of each sport becomes important for the selection, training planning and follow-up of athletes in these modalities. General Objective: To establish the physical, physiological and anthropometric profile of male Brazilian sportsmen and sportswomen in football, volleyball and women’s handball at the Federal Institute Sul de Minas Gerais, Muzambinho campus. Methodology: Descriptive and cross-sectional study. Established the anthropometric profile of Brazilian athletes university male football, volleyball and women’s handball of the Federal Institute Sul de Minas Gerais (weight, size, percentage of muscle mass and fat mass, BMI) through bioelectrical impedance in the balance Inbody 720. Physical and physiological capabilities were evaluated: Manual dynamometer test with eurofit protocol, test - Back Saver Sit and Reach with Fitnessgram protocol, One-sided dynamic postural stability test in Biodex Balance System equilibrium platform, with Atlhe Single Leg protocol from Biodex Medical Systems, the height of the vertical jump platform jump Jump System Test with the Counter Movement Jump protocol of the Bosco battery, Torque peak with isokinetic dynamometer test in flexors and knee extenders in isokinetic dynamometer biodex Multi. Joint System PRO4 with Santos protocol (2006) and the Vo2 max with Movement Electronic Treadmill treadmill ergospirometry test, with a VO2000 Medgraphics gas analyser the Wasserman protocol. Results: 35 athletes (13 football, 7 volleyball and 15 10
handball) were evaluated. Differences (pvalor 0.05) or equalities (pvalor 0.05) between footballers and university volleyball players are evidenced by comparing variables through the Rstudio software and using the Tstudent test for homogeneous and heterogeneous variances, of the results of the characterization of football against volleyball. In the same way, the correlation of positive variables Pvalor 0.05 or negative Pvalor 0.05 is reflected, within each sports discipline using the same software with the Pearson Correlation Coefficient method. Conclusions: in all variables there is equality with a Pvalor 0.05. For the comparison of football with volleyball, except for the height with difference of Pvalor 0.05, p 0.013. On the other hand, it was concluded that in football 10 significant correlations were found between anthropometric variables, 1 between anthropometric and physical variables and 4 between physical variables, however, volleyball were found 5 significant correlations 3 only between anthropometric variables and 2 only between physical variables, finally in handball 13 significant correlations were found, 6 only in anthropometric variables, 2 between anthropometric and physical variables and 5 between physical variables only.
