The potato tuber is a plant species of the genus Solanum, family Solanaceae, whose genus has more than 2,000 species, which are currently cultivated in much of the world. In Colombia the most cultivated and consumed varieties are: tuquerreña or sabanera, brown pastusa, supreme pastusa, rubí, yolk of egg (Creole potato) among others. The cultivation of potatoes stands out in the national agricultural activity for the aspects directly related to their exploitation and the varied amount of activities that are generated around this product. The traditional fertilization commonly works separate additions of mineral products that provide the primary macroelements (N, P, K), the secondary macroelements (Ca, Mg) and one in smaller amount that provides the microelements (Mn, Zn, Cu, Fe, Mo , B) required in the growth, vegetation and production of the crop. The absorption of the elements mentioned above is guaranteed if the pH of the solution is slightly acidic, so the farmer must perform additional dosages of acids that lower the pH of the mixture.
Therefore, this business development project is based on the elaboration of a uniform fertilizer specifically designed with the nutritional requirements of the Solanum tuberosum L plant, which has a stable mixture of essential macroelements and microelements, as well as an additional dosage of organic raw material providing oxidizable organic carbon similar to HUMUS with all its benefits in the same liquid solution, with the guarantee that said concentrated product will be totally soluble.
The innovative formulation will also allow the farmer with a single dosage of the product to ensure a slightly acidic pH, thus achieving better assimilation of all the elements required by the plant.
