Retrospective, descriptive and cross-sectional study that aims to identify and quantify the presence of drug interactions in 7 chronic patients with schizophrenia hospitalized in a clinic in Bogotá DC, during the period January to February of 2018. Using the Scale as a method of classification Likelihood of Pharmacological Interactions (EPIF) of Horn and according to the pharmacocinetique and pharmacodynamic profile. The presence of drug interactions was quantified 52% (12) in all the patients studied, the drugs that were determined with the highest prevalence were clozapine and clonazepam, presenting six interactions represented as 15% of the total interactions. In the case of clozapine it is due to the fact that it is within the pharmacological treatment of most patients, in the same way, it is observed in the literature as the antipsychotic with greater efficacy and more used in the treatment of schizophrenia. And clonazepam one of the Benzodiazepines that has a very effective as anxiolytic profile in the treatment of disorders. Some important factors in the identification of drug interactions are the comorbidity of the patients, the background and the high amount of prescribed medications. It was concluded that factors such as age or sex did not have as much relevance as they are mostly men and they all have a close age.
