Agraz (Vaccinum meridionale) is a species with issues in the different forms of both sexual and asexual propagation, due to the fact that it is a wild, rustic plant that is in a process of domestication. However, it is a species with high agronomic and economic potential, because of its nutritional properties and its production provides vitamins, flavonoids, sugars among others. The current market of this product is given in a regional scale within the country, but this product being in the list of promising species, can produce a market opening in the worldwide production.
Taking into account the fact mentioned above, this experiment conducted in the agricultural biotechnology laboratory of the University of Applied and Environmental Sciences, was aimed to assess the in vitro propagation of the species from nodal segments using the Woody plant medium (WPM) supplemented with Vitamins Gamborg, 2ip and AIA (2-isopentenyladenine and 3-indolacetite acid) in different proteins: 0, 1, 2 mg / L for AIA and 0,5,10 mg / L for 2 ip; with a pH of 5.0, the type of nodal segment used in the propagation (intermediate and apical) was evaluated, using a photoperiod of 24 Hours of light, average temperature of 20 ° C. The data was immerse in a statistic analysis, using the AUDPS methodology, ANAVA and Tukey tests; the variables of the answer corresponded to the elongation of the explant and production of new outbreaks. With the results, it was concluded that the segments of intermediate type have a better propagation response.
