Overproduction and high demand for food has become one of the greatest threats to the environment. It is necessary to reduce the impacts generated by this issue to ensure the health of the planet in the long term; This can be achieved through the implementation of alternatives that promote food and sustainable lifestyles, from the field of education. This is how this study began with a review of the literature on this topic which evidenced the lack of implementation in the Colombian educational context; from there was born the idea of tackling the subject in the pedagogical practice with children 301 course of the Bogota D.C., Marco Fidel Suárez IED School.
Taking this into account, this quasi-experimental study assessed behavior changes related to sustainable food generated by the implementation of the teaching learning sequence based on the 7E, along with roles play "the Shop sustainable" as a pre-test and post-test with the aforementioned students.
This intervention was developed for eight weeks, in her 26 students involved 301 aged between 8 and 12 years, of which 12 were boys and 14 girls. Through the implementation of the role play was evident that there was a change in behavior towards more sustainable lifestyles, due to increased sustainable food choice, from 8.61 in the pre-test to 13.42 in post-test; While the non-sustainable food average decreased from 7.03 to 2.76.
