This paper shows the results of the research carried out in the I.E.D. Ofelia Uribe de Acosta, with eighth grade students, in the line of Environmental Citizenship, using action-research methodology. In order to generate pedagogical scenarios, strategies and learning environments in the field of environmental education that allow training of responsible citizens with themselves, with others and with the environment in general. This is due to the recognition of different human actions tending to alter the environment in a negative way, regarding to the role that the school should develop around environmental citizenship training. The strategy is presented and developed through different moments, which are part of the research. They are promoting training spaces from the interrelationships between human being and nature, starting with the appropriation of citizen capacities that enable the establishment of agreements and commitments, and the development of classroom assemblies and citizenship agreements. They could evidence a contribution to the subject, to the pedagogical practice and to the community. This allows an opportunity to recognize and value strategies that promote the dialogue of knowledge that circulates in the pedagogical scenarios, from a reflection on the training that is carried out in educational institutions and the incidence of environmental education processes in the training for citizenship in a contextualized environmental education scenario.
