Currently there is a growing concern about physical inactivity rates worldwide, backed by studies that point to sedentary lifestyle as one of the main factors that drives the occurrence and severity of countless chronic diseases, becoming a health problem. public, which is why the rulers of various countries have programs on their agenda that help mitigate these diseases.
Currently, Colombia has a high level of social inequality, which has led children and young people to opt for activities not related to the use of leisure time, leading them to substance use or wasted time in activities that are not generating a good; for this, the National Government (2010) in charge of former President Juan Manuel Santos launched the “Suppose Yourself Intercollegiate” program that did not seek anything other than to solve these problems.
For its creation the government took into account the World Health Organization when it says that the practice of physical activity (AF) from an early age is associated with benefits for health, cognitive function and social inclusion. Additionally, it has been recognized as a catalyst for the social development of nations and the construction of peace (WHO, 2002). So it Organization of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and UNESCO (2015) culture, mentions that l to participation in physical and sports from an early age activity may contribute to the prevention of drug use and crime, strengthening building citizenship and promoting youth empowerment and social cohesion, developing skills such as discipline and leadership.
The present study determines if the “Supérate Intercolegiados” program has had a social and sports impact in the Kennedy town in 2017; For this, the concept of social and sports impact was identified, the level of participation of students and educational institutions was recognized.
In this sense, with the results obtained, it is observed that the “Supérate Intercolegiados” games are the way to use physical activity and sport as transforming agents of communities, since, thanks to the practice of different disciplines, it is possible to develop projects of sustainable life in the different actors participating in this program, also creating inclusion mechanisms and bringing all the inhabitants of a specific sector closer together.
