At the global level were recorded experiences in which human communities organize themselves collectively to defend or articulate in favor of diverse territories. On this occasion, the protection of wetlands represents the analysis of the case, where the interdisciplinary is able to combine methodologies and studies that link both biological sciences and social. This is to structure a literature review, of global character, where you recount cases in which the ownership, protection and preservation of wetlands is seen in the light of systemic analysis. Visions of a humanistic, ecological, economic, among others, allow a reading to dynamics that involve spaces of interaction between human beings and nature. That is how experiences were recover beginning in Europe, and continue down the Mediterranean, Middle East, Africa, Oceania and the American continent, where cultures and socio-economic contexts have been studied and reported finding the different uses and values to the ecosystem of wetland. It is in this manner where the articulation of knowledge reflects the thematic subtleties when they are linked actors in ecological and social territories of wetlands.
